About the Author
Dr. Joe Wilson is a systems engineer, researcher, educator, and architect whose work spans quantum information science, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, resilient infrastructure, and intelligent systems design. His professional background includes the commercial aviation industry, where he worked with safety- and mission-critical platforms requiring rigorous correctness, traceability, disciplined change control, and operational reliability.
He earned his Ph.D. from Capella University in 2013, with doctoral research focused on cloud-computing security, infrastructure resilience, and autonomic threat detection. He later completed a postdoctoral program in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at The University of Texas at Austin. His academic teaching and research emphasize systems-oriented analysis, platform integrity, verification, governance, and the operational constraints associated with deploying advanced computational systems.
Dr. Wilson’s current work focuses on Quantum Artificial Intelligence Systems (QAIS), quantum information science, artificial intelligence, intelligent systems architecture, verification methodologies, resilient distributed systems, and computational governance. His research examines how advanced systems can be designed, validated, governed, and ethically assured across hybrid quantum–classical and large-scale operational environments.
He is the creator of the CRQC–LLM / QALIS framework for Quantum AI Systems (QAIS), a systems-level architecture and evaluative methodology integrating quantum theory, artificial intelligence, systems engineering, propagation behavior, resilience, interpretability, verification, and governance. His broader systems-engineering practice also includes System Integrity Assurance (SIA), production-safe infrastructure transformation, runtime-versus-repository authority management, controlled baseline development, reversibility, and long-term maintainability.
Dr. Wilson is a member of the Phi Beta Delta Honor Society for International Scholars.
